"There are two people in every picture: the photographer and the viewer." (A. Adams)
The site opens with the 'Lookbook' collection, a curated collection of recent work and some of my favorites. Use the drop-down menu in the upper right corner for other content collections. These include images finished in black and white or color. The 'Archive' page organizes images by subject matter, concept, or location adding context and a storytelling quality.
After a long career in commercial photography, I'm taking my passion for this art form in a different direction, opting for a more spontaneous approach to working with whatever or whoever I may encounter.
Working in color or black and white, with the masters' teachings in mind, I like to think of my work beyond genre, more unbound, contemporary, yet timeless.
From the tallgrass of the Kansas Flint Hills to the sands of the Sahara, or the streets of New York to the back alleys of old Marrakesh, I strive to create engaging photography that strikes a chord of relevance and connection with the viewer—hopefully leaving you with a sense of what I felt when creating it. Thanks for looking.
